United Power Scholarship Program

United Power awards scholarships worth more than $20,000 each year. The cooperative awards scholarships each year to outstanding students served by the cooperative. Eligibility varies for each scholarship, but in general overall academic achievement (such as GPA and ACT/SAT scores), extracurricular activities and community involvement rank high in the evaluation process. A brief written essay is required, and the applicant's primary residence must be in United Power’s service territory. This year, the cooperative will be introducing a new scholarship opportunity for non-traditional students pursuing a technical or vocational education. Awards range between $1,000 and $2,000.
