EV Make-Ready Wiring Rebate

United Power is pleased to introduce a new rebate opportunity for our residential members who own an electric vehicle. Our EV Make-Ready Wiring Rebate program helps to offset the cost of electrical wiring associated with the installation of an EV charger outlet.

A new United EV pilot program offers a ChargePoint Level 2 at-home vehicle charger for a flat monthly fee. Additional EV wiring rebate dollars are available with enrollment in the United EV pilot program.

If you install an EV charger for your electric car in your home, you may want to take advantage of the federal tax credit. The Federal 30C Tax Credit was renewed as part of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022. It provides a valuable incentive for installing EV charging-related hardware.

The federal tax credit covers 30% of an EV charging station, necessary equipment and installation costs. For residential installations, the IRS caps the tax credit at $1,000.
